Winter Hair Care
During the winter season, it is important to care for your hair even more to keep it healthy, shiny and vibrant. It's true, the lack of moisture in the air can cause static electricity in the hair, the ends to split and become damaged, make curls seem fuzzy and the hair difficult to control in general. Depending upon your hair routine and the dryness of the hair, I recommend first to keep the ends trimmed regularly since that is where the damage is most visible and secondly have a deep conditioning treatment at least once a week. This will revive the hair, add shine and replenish natural moisture. It will make the hair healthier and more controllable as it restores strength by rebuilding the internal structure of each hair strand.
It's important to follow the manufacturer's directions for application and remember to be gentle with your hair. Get the most mileage that you can with every product that you use by using up all that is in your hands. Give the product some time to work its magic by thoroughly working it in with your fingertips and not your nails. If you use a comb, be sure that it has big teeth, causing no unnecessary stress to the hair. Remember hair is most fragile when wet and rinse hair with lukewarm water, as hot water can both damage and dry out the hair. Your hair will thank you by adding sheen to those lustrous waves and maybe you will forget how long the winter season actually is.
