Treating With Oil

To keep your hair in tip-top shape, I would say that moisture is critical, especially during these cold winter months. One important way to promote healthy, shiny hair is treating it with oil. There are several types of hair oils on the market and they are incredibly nourishing to both the hair and scalp. Oils for hair have been used for centuries for the hair and today, they are available with an array of formulas to suit all needs and hair types. Some contain vitamins, multi-vitamins and other treatments that can be used as a pre-shampoo routine to banish dry, frizzy ends. Others are to be simply used by themselves for a glossy finish while some are heavier than others, so be sure to do some research to determine which is best for you. Remember to use a little at a time to prevent buildup and making the hair appear greasy.

So whether your hair is thick, thin, oily, dry, strong or brittle, remember that indoor heat dries the hair out and the outside colder temperatures can lead to lifeless winter hair. I recommend to get some professional advice for how and when to use hair oil to get the best results and keep your hair supple, vibrant and radiant until spring arrives.
